Bald Cypress Large, slow-growing, long-lived, deciduous conifer. Frequently reaches 100-120 ft. in height and 3-6 ft. in diameter. The leaves are alternate, linear and flat with blades generally spreading around the twig. Prefers very wet soils consisting of muck, clay or fine sand where moisture is abundant and fairly permanent. Excellent for erosion control, timber, wildlife, and site rehabilitation.
